“Cozy atmosphere with great eats” What a great place - I have eaten there twice now. Both times I visited were on Sundays - the second time when a wedding and party were occurring - they had complimentary valet service. Even with 2 events, the inn is large enough that we were not disturbed by either party. The staff is great - very friendly, and the food was excellent. Definitely on my list of favorite restaurants, and will be back again. - Reviewed October 15, 2015, TripAdvisor

Wow, what a beautiful, warm building to come to in the snow. I found that the food was tasty and the atmosphere was friendly. They seamed a little short on wait staff but that might've been because of the snow. Over all, it's a nice place whether you want to spend the night or just come to dine. The water was nice and chilly. And, might I add, the drink servings were plentiful. We all enjoyed the cheese platter as we waited for our meal. We ate in the downstairs area which we all found comfy. This was mostly a great place to eat. All of the food from the Lobster Mac&Cheese to the sliders was delicious. - Steven S. Johns Island. We worked with Taylor throughout our planning process for our wedding at the Inn at Millrace Pond. She was absolutely amazing and always responded to our emails quickly no matter how small or large the question was. She and Sue really keep the best interest of their couples at heart and worked with us to make our vision of our perfect day come true. The Inn truly feels like your home where you invite all of your family and friends to celebrate one of the most important days of your life with you. One of my favorite parts about getting married at the Inn, was being able to visit the Inn on multiple occasions throughout the year. The food at the restaurant is honestly so delicious that I started to make up excuses to visit the Inn during the year. We also had a small "after-party" at the tavern in the Inn after the wedding and let me tell you I've been hearing about how delicious the food was from all of my guests! We also filled the entire Inn with our guests and were able to continue the celebrations into the next morning by sharing (delicious!) breakfast with many of the guests. The rooms are just adorable and have so much character and it was so nice to have all of the festivities all in one place. The Inn is absolutely an amazing place to get married and even just to visit. I can't wait to go back for years to come to celebrate our anniversaries! - Erin G. For some time I had seen the ad for this Inn in “Skylands Magazine.” As my husband's birthday was approaching, I decided that would be the ideal occasion to try the Inn. We were not disappointed! The historic building made the week-end seem very special. I reserved a fireside table for our dinner in the Tavern and in the morning we enjoyed the breakfast in the dining room. I would definitely return and certainly recommend. The area is so historic (read up on John Blair) and there are many lovely walks nearby. – Suzanna J., November 19, 2014

We are so glad we chose The Inn at Millrace Pond for our October wedding. We lucked out with a beautiful, sunny day that only added to the picturesque setting at the Inn, especially with the leaves changing colors. The staff at the Inn is professional, helpful & friendly. The rooms are old but well maintained & clean. They were flexible with me in reserving all of the rooms at the Inn & kept me in the loop when rooms opened up for the night before my wedding. They cleaned my bridal suite for me very early Saturday so I could get in there & start getting ready. As another bride pointed out, they do not give you a free room if you book all of the rooms but we did receive a 10% discount on each room for booking more than 10 rooms. Having breakfast included in everyone's room rate allowed us to enjoy breakfast with our family and friends who stayed at the Inn on Sunday morning without spending even more money. We could have opened the breakfast up to other people but the hours (8-10am only), size limitations & because the Inn was in the opposite direction of our other hotel and where most guests needed to drive to get home, we decided against it. Given the quality of the breakfast, we would've been disappointed if I paid $12/person to include other guests. One thing to note, the Inn (& not Frungillo Caterers who handles the cocktail hour/wedding reception food) is in charge of the "after party" in the tavern, if you choose to have one. We fell in love with the tavern, especially the fireplace, & decided to have an after party. I understand the after parties used to be overseen by Frungillo but the Inn is now taking this element over but we were misinformed on several different occasions about closing time, alcohol available & bartenders, which was a little frustrating. I would recommend working with Daniel, the Innkeeper, directly on after party items. Aside from those very minor things, it was our dream wedding and we're very grateful to the Inn staff! - Kayleigh, 10/26/2013

Twisting country lanes lead to the charming surroundings of this converted 1769 gristmill in Hope where enthusiasts enjoy dependably good traditional American-Continental fare and leisurely, quiet conversation by candlelight. The downstairs tavern offers a nice alternative to the pricier main dining room. - Zagat Survey, 2009-2010
